This SEMH School provides education for secondary-aged pupils who live in SE London and are permanently excluded or who are not on a school roll for other reasons. This school also works with secondary aged pupils who are not attending school or who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or social difficulties in school.

This SEMH School would like to employ a SEN Science Teacher to take on the role of SEN Head of Science on a permanent basis from September 2017!

Person Specification for SEN Head of Science
The ideal SEN Head of Science will be a confident proven practitioner ready for a step up or an existing dedicated SEN Head of Science who is looking to prove themselves in a new environment who has direct knowledge of the demands of leadership and previous experience teaching children with SEN requirements. You will be an experienced SEN Head of Science who can build upon a foundation of organisational and administrative ability with a pedagogical flair that will take your teaching from good to outstanding.

About the Role of SEN Head of Science
In this exciting SEN Head of Science position, you will be managing the supportive Science and implementing your own ideas. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staff in class and refining the curriculum constantly to ensure its suitability for all pupils. Middle leadership positions at this school still hold teaching responsibility and SEN points.

This school is found in South East London and is located 15 minutes' walk from the closest train station and is serviced by local buses. Teaching standards are top notch here and it is a fun and enjoyable place to work and learn.The school has a fully involved PTA; funds raised this academic year have contributed to the school opening an outdoor learning space.
