An excellent opportunity for a Biomedical Science or Business Studies graduate to enter the scientific & healthcare sales industry with a well-established, supportive team. At least 2 years of post-degree experience in an account management/business development/target driven commercial role is essential.

The Account Manager will sell medical and scientific equipment across various sectors that include, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and clinical research organisations.
This is an office-based role with around 10% travel attending business meetings and conferences throughout the year.
It is a 2pm-10pm shift (3k shift allowance for this in addition to base salary).

This position is responsible for managing customer accounts for the company, providing exceptional customer service and driving sales via existing or developing new sales opportunities.


- Act as a primary contact for designated accounts; enable excellent communication with customers, sites and internal departments.
- Build relationships with contacts, create rapport and build a positive customer view of the company and services.
- Grow accounts by maintaining excellent market knowledge and using all available tools including: emails, telephone calls, customer visits, Linkedin, attendance at exhibitions/conferences etc.
- Create customer quotes tailoring the quote in order to win the sale ensuring risks to successful delivery of customer orders are highlighted and solutions are proposed.
- Ensure customer invoices are sent out in a timely manner.
- Understand margin and ensure prices are competitive and costs are low.
- Process customer enquiries and orders using company IT system and keep them updated on the progress.
- Ensure complaints are accurately recorded, actioned, communicated and analysed efficiently and effectively.

- Degree calibre - biomedical science or business-related degrees are preferred.
- Experience of working in a target driven environment with a combined focus on sales and customer service or account management.
- Proven experience in a customer facing role with strong customer service values is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Driven and confident individual with the ability to work independently
