Position: Development Officer (New Business)
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: GBP31,007
Length of Contract: Permanent

Greenacre has been appointed to source a Development Officer for a reputable Essex based RP. Our client is looking for an experienced Development Officer with experience of working in residential property development.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of residential housing development and possess strong project management skills.
Main purpose:
• Identifying and progressing new development opportunities for both affordable and market sale opportunities.
• Assisting with the appraisal of new schemes, undertaking research relating to land opportunities, planning approvals and market rents/ sales values.
• Collating and reviewing new scheme data.
• Assisting with the delivery and handover of new homes.

• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with local land agents, developers, landowners and contractors.
• Undertaking site appraisals, assisting with site assembly, undertaking resident and public consultation, commissioning pre-construction surveys and assisting with planning applications.
• Reviewing and collating planning related information.
• Obtaining robust data on local housing markets.
• Maintaining accurate scheme records for all new projects
• Appraising new schemes using the ProVal Appraisal software for both affordable and private sales homes.

Experience and Knowledge required:
• A levels, degree or relevant professional qualification
• Minimum of 1 year experience of working in residential property development
• Knowledge of residential housing development and its links to the using Association sector;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Experience of project management.
