Currently recruiting a Financial Reporting Accountant for our client based in Cambridge. You will be responsible for managing the preparation of the statutory accounts for the business. This will include planning, managing and delivering the audited statutory accounts ensuring the statutory accounts accuracy and compliance with applicable GAAP. You will be responsible for the whole process from collating information to drafting the statutory accounts. You will have proven audit experience and a good understanding of the internal processes required to perform this task. You will be responsible for planning and supporting the external audit. This will require you to build a strong and effective relationship with external auditors. You will utilise this relationship to ensure the external audit is efficient and focuses on the key risks within the business. You will be the key contact in the business for technical compliance matters and will be responsible for ensuring that the business keeps up-to-date with best practise. You will draft accounting policy papers and assist the teams in implementation of best practise. You will work closely with the Heads of Finance in the business units to support them in ensuring compliance with applicable GAAP. You will be able to escalate key issues within the business in a constructive, well-structured and timely manner. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills You will also be responsible for liaising with the Group Internal audit function. Once again, you will be the primary contact for the Internal audit team. You will be responsible for supporting the wider finance team in providing information during internal audits and responding to any findings. You will be responsible for monitoring the discharge of any actions and implementing any required improvements.You will be responsible for collating the information required to apply for the annual insurance renewal. You will therefore need to build a good understanding of the risks within the business.You will also be responsible for ad hoc projects and supporting continuous improvement, working alongside the Reporting and Controls Manager and Head of Reporting and Controls to maintain and improve financial processes and controls. ACCA or ACA qualified with extensive technical experience with solid experience in an audit role preferably big-4 trained.To discuss this role in more detail please contact Mark Wishart at Pure
