We are working with a well respected higher education establishment who are currently looking to hire a Finance Manager. This is a very hands on, varied position with room to progress and ultimately take on further responsibility.

Working within a team of 3 in their Sheffield offices, this role is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of the accounts team.

A background in higher education or charity would be the ideal experience for this particular position.

The role itself will entail:

* Develop financial policies alongside the Head of Finance
* Manage financial projects including implementation and development of new financial policies and procedures
* Design management reports using Jet Reports and Excel Visual Basic Macros, to add value to the organisation
* Communicate & solve supplier problems
* Communicate with both, internal and external customers regarding their financial systems problems
* Direct and facilitate training to both financial and non-financial staff on systems and software
* Assess and validate all domestic and international payments for the organisation

Weekly Tasks:

* Manage and maintain a weekly cash flow
* Manage and maintain bi-weekly payment run
* Manage and maintain a weekly bank rec

Monthly Tasks:

* Reconcile month end cash at bank and in hand to ledger balances
*Lead presentations on new and revised policy and procedural agenda items in monthly board meetings

Quarterly Tasks:

* Direct quarterly quality control tasks

Yearly Tasks:

* Annual budget cycle
o Develop and oversee the budget process to be used by the organisation and present this data in an analytical format for all stakeholders
o Create a consolidated dashboard which can monitor live adjustments to the budget
o Translate budget data from front user facing interface to raw data that can be uploaded into the accounting package.

Ideally you will be educated to & have experience in:-

To degree level and be part qualified (ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA) accountancy qualification
Have operational Finance Management experience in non profit making / charity sector
MS Dynamics NAV v.4 & 2016
Financial Accounting Experience
Procurement to payment process, invoicing entry, payments, budgeting
Presenting Projects
