Regulation Manager required for a company that provides care and support for adults living with a learning disability or autism in specialist hospitals and residential services throughout the UK.

You will manage and co-ordinate the regulatory process that ensures compliance with all statutory UK wide regulations including the Care Quality Commission, Health Improvement Scotland and Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland. Work closely with the Mental Health Act Team regarding Mental Health Act Commission and Mental Welfare Commission requirements.

You will lead the undertaking of annual internal Quality Development Reviews (internal audit) of all services across the group with re-audits scheduled on either a 3 monthly or annual basis depending on compliance.

Manage & monitor improvements to the groups quality watch list of priority services and escalate any concerns to the Director of Nursing & Governance who will report these to the Group CEO/board.

As an expert, you will provide support and information to Service Managers/Director of Operations to enable effective responses to regulatory reports.

Working closely with Governance and Operations you will ensure a consistent and robust approach to best practice in the provision of Patient Safety and Service Quality.

Degree level educated in health related area
RNLD qualification desirable

Minimum 5 years healthcare experience
Experienced of UK healthcare regulation and full understanding of the principles of regulation and compliance
Clinical audit and effectiveness experience

The position is based at an office in York but will require travel throughout the UK.
