The role of the Financial Business Analyst based out of Luton will be to support the business with meaningful reporting and analysis to understand the companies current financial position and results as well as future direction and developments. An initial contract position developing into a permanent role after a 3 month period

Description

The Financial Business Analyst will be responsible for the production of a number of key reports and analysis to support the business together with undertaking various commercial activities in the team

  • Managing cash flow and working capital
  • This role will require someone to produce internal management information and KPI reporting
  • Producing monthly budget reports for department managers
    Monitoring business performance against both internal and external service level agreements

  • Assist with decision making and the provision of reports using Excel, PowerPivot and PowerView
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ad hoc spreadsheet work and analysis
  • Monthly invoice reconciliations

Profile

Essential Financial Business analyst experience;

  • Of challenging existing processes & implementing changes which create efficiency's
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in an finance and analytical position looking at cash flow and working cpaital management
  • Significant experience of using finance and reporting systems (input, interrogation, development)
  • Strong MS Office knowledge with intermediate Excel skills (i.e lookups, If Statements, Pivot tables)
  • Analytical approach to problem solving - able to absorb and interpret financial information quickly to understand the operational drivers or implications

Skills and exposure;

  • Varied experience of working in a busy and challenging finance team dealing with queries across the organisation dealing with account/process corrections
  • An individual who is part-qualified or actively studying within ACCA or CIMA
  • A positive 'can-do' attitude with the resilience and tenacity to see a project/task through to a successful conclusion, no matter what challenges may arise
  • Excellent stakeholder management - building relationships across the organisation to improve understanding of key issues, drawing on expertise to ensure delivery of customer requirement
  • A strong customer ethos - always looking for ways to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and work well in a team - providing direction, support and challenge to others as required
  • Strong organisational skills - able to prioritise competing requirements and implement plans to deliver against them
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail - in completing daily tasks and in reviewing the work of others
