Permanent opportunity for an experienced SQL Server and Oracle Database Administrator to join our leading client in their Leeds office.

The successful Database Administrator will provide support covering SQL Server and Oracle database. This will be across Windows/Linux and Azure platforms.


  • SQL Server 2012
  • T-SQL/SQL Agent

  • High Availability cluster configuration
  • Performance monitoring and improvement
  • Fault finding and resolution
  • System patching support
  • Upgrade planning
  • System availability reporting


  • Oracle 12c
  • Oracle ASM/Linux platform/mirroring
  • Data object/user maintenance
  • Performance monitoring
  • Backups and restores
  • Fault finding and resolution
  • System patching support


  • Primarily a SQL Server 2012 role, supporting data warehouse.
  • Provide strategic insight and development support for web based development on the digital marketing platform.
  • Ensuring that all database environments are stable, secure and well maintained at all times
  • Typically the role includes looking after backups/space provisioning/performance maintenance and product upgrade support, including OS patching and Service pack deployment.
  • Support for Linux hosted Oracle databases, in-house development and third party packaged products.
  • Interaction with development teams and infrastructure teams to provide a good overall system environment

Any experience with Azure platform deployment would be highly beneficial. Any experience within financial services will also be advantageous.
