Role: Analogue IC Design Engineer
Salary: GBP55,000 - GBP70,000

I am working with an excellent company based in Fareham that have huge expansion plans for 2017 and looking to hire an Analogue IC design engineer.
This role will be responsible for the definition, design and support of the Analogue IPs for next generation capacitive touch controller integrated circuits, from concept to end of-life. The challenges will include research into new architectures and techniques to extend current performance, as well as novel solutions to reduce power and costs.
*Assist in the definition and design of derivative and next generation capacitive touch controller ICs
*To push forward the performance and cost effectiveness of products
*To provide analogue expertise to all phases of the design process
*To learn from, provide and share CMOS IC analogue expertise with the wider design community
*Participate and contribute towards improvements in analogue design methods, flows and structures
*Ensure designs are cost effective, designed of test and designed for manufacture
*Use modelling techniques to test the veracity of ideas and develop specifications
*Ability to mentor and coach colleagues
*Work closely with other team members to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects
*Provide timely planning data and feedback
*Keen to keep up to date with latest developments in technology and design methodologies
*To provide clear and adequate documentation
*To adhere to all prevalent company design rules, QA guidelines, and codes of practice
*To support ad hoc activities aimed at achieving business objectives
Skill Set required:
*Expert in the design process from specification to validated silicon with the ability to leverage global teams
*Experience of Mixed Signal, Digital and Analogue, working with deep sub-micron CMOS processes, 55nm and beyond
*Familiar in High-voltage analogue circuit design
*Knowledge of Verilog-AMS modelling, mixed signal co-simulation and/or experience of low power, multi-voltage design will be and added advantage
*Extensive knowledge of, and experience in, the basic analogue building blocks
*Bandgap, Ibias generator, OTA, Op-amp, DLL, PLL, ADC, DAC, Oscillators and Switched-cap systems
*Expert in the design process from specification writing to validated silicon
*Highly competent in DfT, DfM, Silicon Debug, Failure analysis
*Good system modelling and analysis skills
*Spectre, Eldo, HSPICE
*Matlab, Labview, AHDL, Verilog-A
*Cadence Assura, Calibre
*Programming or Scripting language such as Perl, AWK, TCL, C etc
