Health and Safety Policy Officer
Location: The Society & College of Radiographers (SCoR), London
Contract: Full time (35 hours per week), permanent
Salary: GBP47,437 - GBP51,804 per annum plus London Weighting Allowance (GBP5,281), and final salary pension
The Society of Radiographers is the Trade Union and Professional Body representing nearly 30,000 members in the NHS and private sector.
We have a vacancy for a Health and Safety Officer to join our Trade Union and Industrial Relations team. This is a key position within the organisation and the successful candidate will have responsibility for developing all aspects of our health and safety function including developing policy, training reps and advising senior officials.
The successful applicant will have or be working towards a NEBOSH qualification and have an extensive background in health and safety issues, an understanding of membership organisations and a broad commitment to the aims of the Trade Union movement. Experience of negotiations, training and advocating on behalf of members would be particularly useful.
The position will be based in our Head Office in London but the successful candidate will be required to undertake extensive travel across the UK.
