Introduction

We need: • An MI Team Manager based in our Head Office in Swindon • GBP34,613 - GBP46,151 a year on a Permanent contract, working 35 hours a week • Send in your application by 20th June 2017 As the manager for the Financial Crime MI team, you will play an important role in leading the reporting of fraud losses and developing our comprehensive self-service reporting capability. You will have an opportunity to use your people management skills to lead a team of 5FTE, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders up to and including the Director of Fraud. Moreover, you will be able to use your logical reasoning and problem solving skills to help the team produce in-depth reports showing fraud losses and the wider impact of fraud detection activity. This role offers a real insight into fraud and AML and as well as the opportunity to lead the deployment of industry leading BI tools. The Financial Crime department are responsible for protecting Nationwide and its members from all types of financial crime, including fraud, money laundering and bribery and corruption. Who we're looking for

As a minimum requirement, you'll have: • An interest in people management and leading a small team of technical specialists • Creative problem solving skills, with demonstrable experience of driving innovation / change within existing processes • Experience of managing stakeholders and communicating clearly to a diverse audience • Strong numerical and logical reasoning skills • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability evaluate data and suggest appropriate solutions • Experience with analytical / reporting tools such as Excel (and Visual Basic), Qlikview, etc. It would be nice if you also had: • Experience of Financial Crime or working in a data or analytics environment

What you'll be doing

As the Financial Crime MI Team Manager, you will be leading the reporting of fraud and AML performance. This will involve overseeing the production of 70+ regular reports and the smooth running of over 100 automated reports. The role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop leadership skills by progressing the development of our automated & self-service reporting capability in a role that's high profile within the department. You will do this by: • Understanding and maximising our usage of corporate analytics tools for regular & self-service reporting • Working closely with your team of 5 FTE to plan and schedule the work, ensuring all reporting deadlines are achieved • Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders including the departmental senior management team • Supporting your team with their technical development
