Morson International. We are currently assisting our client their recruitment to the position of Cost Analyst -Bid Finance Manager to be based at our clients premised in Cheadle, Cheshire.

Due to ongoing growth, my client are looking for a Cost Analyst -Bid Finance Manager for their office in Cheadle. The Bid Finance Manager will be assisting in bid and financial review, costing and pricing and supporting various business lines. This is an exciting and high profile role within the business, which offers a platform for development in terms of career progression.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks for the Cost Analyst -Bid Finance Manager:

* Ensure that the prepared estimates, costs and prices are constructed in accordance with the Company guidelines and have been properly authorised.
* Provide an effective and reliable Cost & Price service, as directed by the manager.
* Attend Cost & Price meetings convened by the Finance Director, Head of Bid Finance, Group Managers, Sales & Marketing, Bid Managers and other departments who could have an impact on cost or price.
* Attendance at pricing/tender approval meetings as required and be accountable for the contents of the bid costs and pricing file and be able to appraise the meeting of the impact of selling factors that could be applied.
* Ensure quality of workmanship is maintained.
* Be familiar with available sources of estimates and costing & pricing information,
* Preparation of 'Profitability Sheets' consistent with corporate pricing policy.
* Generation and interpretation of forecast cash flow.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Obtain a broad knowledge of cost estimating techniques, methodologies and tools.
* Obtain a broad knowledge of Finance, Commercial, Project Management and Engineering functions, in order to fulfil the role and progress within this high profile and interesting department.
* Tracking of constantly changing project, engineering and manufacturing techniques, to allow for changes to be made within the Cost & Price procedures.
* Possess Microsoft Excel skills.
* Demonstrate a methodical approach when collecting/generating/presenting costing and pricing information
* Basic maths skills are essential
