Overall Purpose of the Role:

Part of the business Senior Management team, reporting to the Finance Director and managing, Financial Planning, Budgeting, Analysis and project support.

Providing managerial and strategic input through working alongside Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Development) and Operational (Production, Logistics, Procurement). Being a catalyst for opportunities and change through timely and effective analysis, decision support and key financial modelling, evaluation and recommendation, becoming a "True Business Partner".

Main roles and responsibilities:-
• Produce accurate and timely management accounts
• Produce accurate and timely forecasts and budgets
• Continually improve our data provision and development of KPIs
• Continually drive a culture of leadership consistent with our values
• Effective team management ensuring personal development needs are met that meet individual aspirations and changing business needs
• Work alongside Heads and managers to deliver accurate financial information and timely insight
• Provide support and challenge to the management team as appropriate
• Deliver all required financial information to the business to enable effective decision making and insight
• Assistance with year-end auditors and stock counts
• Working with all levels across the Company
• Working in collaboration with other site teams on cross-functional projects
• Management of Operations Accounts team and commercial analyst
• Ensure cover in place when staff are on holiday
• Provision of daily, weekly and monthly management accounts, analysing the data and trends, with commentary and recommendations as required
• Provision of periodic forecasts and annual budgets with analysis and commentary

Essential Skills/Experience:-
• Experience within a retail customer led minimum GBP100m turnover multi-site manufacturing industry
• Forecasting, budgeting and multiple profitability involvement
• Proactively supported Operational and Commercial aspects of the business
• Highly commercial with excellent internal customer communication skills
• Strong IT ability and data modelling, mining and evaluation skills
• Good accuracy & attention to detail regarding problem solving
• Excellent Planning + organisational skills
• Experience of dealing with all levels within an organisation
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Self Confidence, quick starter and initiative to work with minimum supervision
• A well organised, structured and attention to detail method of working
• Comfortable in supporting and contributing to the decision making process
• Knowledge of Business Process re-engineering and Change Management
• Experience of different Pricing matrices, consignment profitability, profitability analysis, promotional and ABC / Product costing methods
• Ability to work both as a senior manager with direct reports but also in a team, handing multiple priorities and often complex requirements
• Experience in ERP manufacturing systems
• Involvement with a business undergoing change and growth
• Experience in modelling detailed scenarios and creating robust financial models for non-finance managers
• Previously supported a sales, marketing and operational environment
• Experience within a food or fast moving product environment
