Organisational Development Manager
Bootle

The challenge

A fast-evolving public corporation, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is committed to shaping the future of regulation in the UK nuclear industry. To help us deliver innovative organisational change, we're looking for a visionary individual who can lead vital projects.

The role

This is a brand new, senior role that'll see you establishing a small team. A credible and assertive individual, you'll use your expertise to implement effective OD interventions, tools and frameworks. Crucially, this'll support the delivery of our People Strategy and wider plans.

Much of the role will see you working collaboratively within HR. As part of this, you'll use internal and external insight to develop suitable OD interventions that contribute to our change projects. In fact, you'll lead the way for change - encouraging transformational projects and championing innovative plans.

The person

As this is a new role, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running. To join us, you'll need a proven track record in delivering organisational change, and experience of building OD capability within a complex business. Focused and dedicated, you'll enjoy setting goals and improving our direction. With excellent interpersonal skills, you'll naturally inspire trust and instil confidence in those you work with. And while you'll ideally be a member of the CIPD, or have equivalent professional experience you'll also be collaborative, driven and supportive.

The rewards

We offer competitive salaries at the ONR, with this role attracting a salary of GBP50,446 - GBP57,771. Furthermore, you'll be eligible for the substantial Civil Service Pension scheme (including ill-health retirement and lump sum family benefits). Plus, you'll receive a very generous holiday entitlement.

About us

ONR is a Public Corporation with a mission to ensure the highest standards of safety and security across all of the UK's licensed nuclear sites. Our staff are drawn from a wide range of professional backgrounds in order to run a stand-alone business. There are specialist inspectors working in core functions including: civil engineering, radiological protection, human factors, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and nuclear physics. And, together, they're involved in everything from assessing safety cases, inspecting nuclear sites and communicating our decisions, to training new recruits and representing the UK and ONR within the wider, international nuclear community.
