With the Quality Manager, monitor the complaints management system and report the outcomes to both the senior team and Governors.
Driving enhancements across the whole learner journey to improve the student experience.
To develop and implement the college's strategy for Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance, and to drive forward initiatives within the context of the Strategic Plan.
To ensure the management of the Quality Strategy enhances the student experience and contributes to the college driver for being a first choice for learning.
To provide Executive and College Management Teams with detailed analysis and recommendations on the Quality Improvement Strategy.
To work with, advise and support the Head of HE in HE Quality initiatives, to ensure that quality management is robust across the HE provision.
Ensure the college Teaching, Learning and Assessment Strategy is embedded across the college.
To produce and implement approaches to teaching and learning that inspire students to achieve the highest possible outcomes.
To promote a culture of high performance and self-assessment to drive continuous improvement.
Be responsible for an effective and efficient Lesson Observation process.
To lead the college Self-Assessment Process and work with the Deputy Principal to develop the college SAR.
To act as a College Second Nominee for Ofsted inspections and awarding body reviews (QAA and IQER)
To advise the Board of Governors on quality strategies.
To lead implementation and embedding of quality compliance frameworks and systems across the college to ensure quality procedures are effective.
To be proactive in the early diagnosis of potential quality issues and to implement strategies for improvement and monitor and report on the impact.
With the Quality Manager, guide and lead in the preparation of submissions for cross college quality awards e.g. charter marks, matrix.
With the Quality Manager, coordinate a programme of quality audits and internal inspections.
To monitor, report on and respond to published reports on college performance.
With the Quality Manager, manage the college complaints process and ensure effective complaints management.
To make a significant contribution to Ofsted inspections, QAA, IQER and other external assessments, ensuring that staff are clear about what is required and supporting evidence is available as required.
To chair college working groups and committees as required.
To work closely with the Assistant Principal of Employer Engagement and Enterprise and Heads of School to support them in the implementation of their QIPs and enhancement of the student experience.
To work with the Heads of School to improve outcomes for students.
To monitor and assure the quality of provision delivered by third party delivery partners, ensuring that processes are fully aligned with the colleges' quality processes.
To work with teams across the college to disseminate best practice. Developing and stretching both students and staff to maximise potential.
To support the senior team in implementing the business cycle to ensure a cohesive process, linking quality improvement, Key Performance Indicators and strategic planning.
To lead in ensuring that Equality and Diversity is embedded both in support areas and the delivery of the curriculum.
To manage staff development to improve college performance.
With the Heads of School, lead Peer Review and Development activities
To manage the Quality budget and the Staff Development budget.
To ensure that effective target/monitoring setting systems are in place and used across all areas of the business, providing a robust system for performance monitoring and management. This includes third party provision.
To work effectively with the Management Information team to ensure the integrity of data and the provision of timely, relevant and accurate information.
To work closely with the eLearning Manager to ensure that e-learning is optimised across the college.
With the Quality Manager ensure compliance to awarding body standards and regulations.
To represent and promote the college brand and values both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador for the college.
