An opportunity has arisen for an IT Business Analyst to join our client's IT Team on a permanent basis. This is an important role in which you will support the design and delivery of a number of high profile new contracts and internal transformation projects.

Are you an IT Business Analyst with a genuine enthusiasm for Applications Development and have demonstrable experience of working within the SDLC framework? Wish to utilise your expertise to make a positive, lasting difference to people's lives? If so, then this job could be for you!

Essentially, you will be responsible for liaising between the business stakeholders within the divisions and the software providers to ensure the business requirements are being met by the software. In addition you will also be responsible for ensuring that business process, where they intersect with IT, are designed, implemented and kept up to date.

A typical day will include:

• Gathering and expanding upon User Stories / Requirements from the business and working with the software vendors to transform them into Product Backlog Items and Development tasks to be allocated into sprints.
• Conducting demonstrations of developed functionality at the end of each sprint to relevant stakeholders from across the business.
• Supporting system releases on Go Live dates (occasional late/weekend working, possible)
• Preparing and conducting UAT testing with end users, collating the results of those tests and escalating issues to the vendors
• Preparing and conducting training as required.
• Creating and maintaining BPMN process maps where they pertain to IT related processes.

About you:

You must have the following experience and skills:

A genuine enthusiasm for Applications Development, and demonstrable experience of working within the SDLC framework.

Methodical and comprehensive approach to testing, with the commitment to see test plans through to the end.

Excellent documentation and analytical skills (i.e. High level of proficiency using BPMN process mapping notation) and understanding of COTS Case Management system design.

Knowledge of Web Applications which use a modular approach with plugins/components provided by multiple suppliers, integrating with the main application.

Basic - intermediate SQL skills.

Experience of working with end users/stakeholders to elicit system requirements; experience of converting requirements into specifications/user stories for use by developers; and, experience of working on Agile/SCRUM projects, and the ability to run relevant stand-ups and administer a SCRUM board effectively (using Jira/VSO or similar).

Experience of working in a fast flowing development environment to deliver high quality web components as part of a multi-supplier solution.
