This company is the UK market leader for Europe's fastest growing e-commerce platform. Working with businesses of all sizes across Europe, from online start-ups to established enterprise organisations. Their services range from build and maintenance of e-commerce websites through to the provision of fully integrated end-to-end business ERP solutions.

Due to rapid expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and talented business development executive to join their sales team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for either someone currently involved in the e-commerce industry to make the jump into sales; or if you have a proven track record of business-to-business (B2B) IT sales and would like to make the move in to e-commerce this could be the job for you!

You will be responsible for:

- delivering new sales opportunities through a combination of developing relationships and establishing new routes to market
- attending trade exhibitions and industry events
- delivering presentations to varied audiences
- liaising closely with the rest of the business to ensure new business proposals are deliverable and profitable
- developing a network of industry contacts to stay up to date with latest trends
- build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of their products and solutions
- provide sales support to other departments
- monitor leads, opportunities and pipeline through the appropriate use and maintenance of the CRM system
- closing deals, winning business and generating revenue
- taking responsibility for and liaising with customers throughout their project life-cycle

Desired skills and experience:

- 2+ years e-commerce experience, not necessarily in sales, or have 4+ years B2B IT sales experience
- driven, determined and entrepreneurial
- passionately interested in technology, especially e-commerce
- excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders
- excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills including a professional telephone manner
- instinctive understanding of what constitutes great service
- ambitious and eager to rapidly progress your career
- willing to be hands on
- flexible to encompass a European sales cycle
- able to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- able to work with limited supervision
- excellent time management, organisation and ability to prioritise

Starting basic salary approximately GBP25,000+ depending on experience (OTE GBP40,000+ with opportunity of uncapped commission).
