Our client is a global provider of technology systems and solutions across the entire insurance industry. They provide core technology solutions, distribution and trading capability, advanced analytics and solution delivery.

They work with 8 of the top 10 UK insurers, 4 of the top 10 global insurers and over 40% of UK brokers. Our client's broking technology processes transactions worth over GBP5 billion gross written premium and their teams are responsible for developing and delivering some of the most cutting edge software in the insurance market. By helping their customers to define their requirements, our client maps the journey and builds the solution.

Our client is looking for a talented Portfolio Manager to join their Customer Solutions Team based in their Aldershot office.

What being the Portfolio Manager will involve:

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services, the successful candidate will manage the Portfolio budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the Portfolio progresses.

This role has many project management duties and will be accountable for the co-ordinated management of multiple related projects, and in many cases, ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective. There is work with the Project Managers (for the execution of their project and its impact on the program) to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations.

This role has responsibility for determining, motivating and co-ordinating the sharing of assigned resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program. As a career manager, you will provide leadership, functional guidance and direction to the assigned individuals. You will focus on mentoring and developing them to achieve their maximum potential.

The company has a number of sizable clients and the successful candidate will be responsible for stakeholder management, particularly stakeholders external to the organisation, so you must have previous experience of this to be successful in the role. You will take programs/projects from original concept through final implementation, and will interface with all areas affected by the Portfolio including end users, distributors and vendors.

Key to the success of this role is your ability to follow Implementation Methodology and best practices. You will prepare project plans / schedules, reports and budgets and track and monitor all deliverables, calendars and meetings as necessary. You are required to have strong attention to detail and the ability to function strategically; proactively look at 'big picture' for project/customer short and long term goals; identify and drive additional revenue opportunities.

Based in our client's Aldershot offices, there may be ad hoc travel to other worldwide offices.

What experience our client is looking for from you:

- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, tying them all together with strategic vision and focus.
- Significant experience of leading and delivering complex, multi-million GBP projects using leading edge technologies within time, financial and qualitative parameters.
- The leadership of multiple, multi-disciplined teams delivering technical solutions across a variety of platforms.
- Consistent track record of delivering on time, to budget and to expectations.
- A highly developed understanding of project implementation and/or system integration techniques.
- Understand budgetary control and resource allocation procedures.
- Please note, you must be willing and able to undertake worldwide travel as required.
