Assistant Care Manager required for a home for children that demonstrate a wide range of challenging behaviours and can be very demanding of time, attention and emotions.

The Assistant Care Manager is required to support the Registered Home Manager providing the best quality childcare in a safe and care focused environment for the young people. This means that they are responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters.

Crisis Care is a short term Crisis Intervention home that offers 12 week residential placements. These include the use of adventurous activities and outdoor pursuits. The home is registered with Ofsted for up to 8 young people of either gender. Crisis Care is also registered with the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service as it uses adventurous activities as an integral part of the programme.

The focus of every staff member is to work actively to meet the needs of the children and young people at the home. This can only be achieved through a dynamic and active team.

You will hold your NVQ3/QCFL3 children and young people in care or equivalent. Experience working in a children's residential setting and experience supervising staff along with an ongoing commitment to training and development.
