We are looking for a nurse to join the team at our Arkley, Barnet based care service to assist in managing and co-ordinating the service and in delivering high quality care to service users with learning and/or physical disabilities.

Applicants must be RNLD, or RMN/RGN (with experience of working with this client group).

This is a full time 37.5 hours per week post and the successful candidate would be required to work night shifts and cover the occasional day shift.

If using public transport, High Barnet is the closest underground tube station and New Barnet is the closest train station, with bus numbers 107 and 606 taking you close to the service from Barnet.

Main duties and responsibilities will consist of the following;

- Ensuring that all Staff Members contribute, to the best of their ability, to the efficient running of the service and the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the residents.

- Reporting any ill health amongst residents and making requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary.

- Ensuring that care plans for residents are completed and maintained in conjunction with clients, relatives and other health care professionals, and in accordance with NMC guidelines & company policy.

- Assessing all aspects of residents' care needs, and providing health supervision and direct nursing care when required.

- Assessing social and health care needs of new residents and to maintain the on-going assessment and review of all other residents.

- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that each resident within the service has an individualised Care Plan. Client Care Plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis, or more frequently as and when required, in accordance with NMC guidelines and CareTech policy.

- Carrying out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the Service Manager.

- Administering prescribed medicines in accordance with the Company's procedures and NMC guidelines.
