Quality Assurance Manager - Insolvency
Robert Half are hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager - Insolvency for an instantly-recognizable membership body for accountants, whose members include professionals in audit and assurance, tax, corporate finance, insolvency and financial services. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a great work-life balance.
Sitting as part of the Practice Assurance team, the Quality Assurance Manager - Insolvency will fulfil a varied role containing both technical insolvency work and consultancy work for a varied portfolio of practices that are registered with the membership body, ranging from small independent practices to large multinational firms such as the Big 4.
The QA Manager will meet with these practices and will have two main responsibilities:
1) To conduct reviews of the work that affiliated insolvency / business recovery professionals are carrying out in order to assess and report on the quality of the work, if necessary to provide advice on how the member can improve, and to identify significant short-comings.
2) Provide advice and a consulting service to the practices on how they can improve their operations and management; for example on how to identify and mitigate risk, what is best practice and how to implement this, changes in regulations, data protection guidance etc.
The role is home based in that you are required at the company's offices very infrequently. On average you will spend 3-4 days per week on site at a practice in your portfolio, and 1-2 days working from home doing analysis and producing reports. The succesful candidate will be based in London or in the Home Counties.
As such the portfolio of clients assigned to you will be within 2 hours of your residence at the very maximum, and they will endeavour to assign the closest practices to you wherever possible.
There is some flexibility about when you can work from home and when you will be on site, and in general the work-life balance will be good with fairly short hours of work.
The company is looking to hire an insolvency specialist with current or recent experience in practice, gained up to manager or senior manager level. The successful applicant will also be a strong and diplomatic communicator, capable of building relationships with the practices and representing the brand of the business effectively.

Salary & Benefits
Salary is GBP60,000 to GBP70,000 + benefits package
