We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self motivated individual to the role of Curriculum Manager in Health, Sports and Public Services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new department whose diverse curriculum boasts continued student success and achievement.

This role will involve working with the Head of Department in driving the curriculum forward in the journey to outstanding, with a particular focus on curriculum review and development. The successful candidate will also be involved in maintaining productive links with partner HEIs, Employers and developing the curriculum offer.

The role will also involve liaising with Marketing to develop current and innovative promotional materials; liaising with the BDU in the development and promotion of full cost provision and Apprenticeships; and involvement in learning walks and sharing of good practice across the department.

The department includes a significant number of FE students, including 16-18s, and the role will include management responsibilities which will include Ofsted preparation, and maintaining and developing employer links.

The post-holder will normally be expected to teach 15 hours per week. The role will also involve line management and performance management of staff.

The successful candidate must:

Have had experience of teaching and motivating HE and FE students;

Hold a relevant degree; a higher degree is desirable;

Have a Cert Ed qualification or equivalent teaching qualification;

Be well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

Have the ability to synthesise information, make decisions, take responsibility for the completion of projects;

Be acutely aware of the funding streams; changing landscape of FE and need for innovation

Have the ability to challenge, support and develop both HE and FE staff and curriculum
