Pertemps currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Senior Operations Manager to join our Public Sector client based in Edinburgh.

The role of Senior Operations Manager is challenging, demanding and extremely fast paced, therefore as the ideal candidate you will be resilient and motivated to get the job done. Furthermore, You will have demonstrable experience of communicating confidently, effectively and coherently with all levels within the business.

Key responsibilities of a Senior Operations Manager include:

- Plan, implement, monitor and control processes and procedures across a range of operational functions to deliver efficient and effective service and mitigate operational, financial and reputational risk
- Manage the allocation of resources to optimise performance and facilitate delivery of current and future services
- Instigate, lead, manage and deliver change to meet business needs, continuous improvement initiatives and development projects
- Lead, coach, train and develop individuals and teams to maximise performance
- Deliver services to agreed financial targets through effective budgetary control and identification and implementation of cost efficiencies
- Establish and develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to shape effective service delivery and ensure that current needs are met and plans made for the future
- Maintain an awareness of best practice and emerging models in the development and use of assessment materials and of centres' needs and expectations in this area to meet the needs of business development strategy
- Respond to complex stakeholder and customer queries and complaints
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and reporting requirements and provide feedback to inform change

As the ideal candidate you will be able to demonstrate:

- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Project Management abilities
- Experience of working to Lean principles will be an advantage
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets
- Operational planning within a complex and evolving environment
- Experienced in change management and continuous improvement
- Strong line management experience within a highly process driven, cross functional environment
- An ability to be resilient and motivated to get the job done
- Committed to continuing their own development
