ROLE PURPOSE: To deliver an excellent HR management service, enabling development of a world class supply chain organisation through maximising the organisations capability and resource.

Key Accountabilities
Operational Excellence
Driving HR excellence and process efficiency in all support functions & site operations
Create and deliver central & site HR strategies to deliver best practice HR excellence
Drive collaborative working practices that deliver continuous improvement in all areas of HR
Work with site leads, individual managers and employees when necessary to support the delivery of change projects
Identify the key challenges that the sites are facing and aligns HR to deliver solutions.
Take ownership of UK-wide key projects as required
Demonstrate an understanding of the wider business to ensure initiatives are aligned
Engagement & Communications
Establish and maintain productive, value-adding Employee relations and employment practices that deliver "best in class" quality, productivity, service, cost and continuous improvement
Support sites with Employee engagement programs
Build a positive Employee Relations environment
Promote effective two way communication between employees and the business
HR Reporting, Policy & Processes
Maintain nationally based HR Reporting to control HR performance and benchmark .v. best practice. Ensure KPI targets are met against core measures
HR Expertise
Drive improved, robust communications and creation of positive and collaborative working relationships
Ensure delivery of robust HR business partnering and service levels
Ensure provision of HR advisory service in current and future employment legislative developments and requirements in conjunction with the ER Manager
Build effective, high performing and skilled site Leadership teams, recognising, rewarding and developing the high performers and dealing with poor performers through development and/or proactive exit plans.
Co-ordinate the Review of Talent throughout the supply chain, putting in place structured analysis and action plans in order to develop people plans. Ensure Succession and Development Plans are in place for key players
Providing development for improvement to the site Senior team for competency and strength
Ensure robust Training plans are in place and delivered to maximize the potential of our people and the organisation

Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications
- Graduate / CIPD Qualified
- Experience in a FMCG environment, ideally manufacturing and food.
- Delivery of change management programmes
- Tested employee relations and Trade Union experience (ideal but not essential and limited TU exposure)
- Experience of TU negotiations - pay awards & T&C reviews (ideal but not essential as limited TU exposure)
- Strong knowledge of employment law
- Performance Management techniques
- Resourcing experience at all levels relevant to site
- Business and financial acumen
- Personal credibility and gravitas
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to influence and persuade
