My client is looking to recruit a passionate forward thinking Deputy Manager for a Children's Residential Home in the Rossendale area of Lancashire.

This is a Residential Home providing specialist therapeutic support to young females who may have suffered physical or mental abuse, with associated attachment difficulties and other complex needs.

The Deputy Manager will assist the Registered Manager to ensure that the current high standards of our Home remain at the highest levels. You will ensure that the service develops in line with current guidance for both the young people and the staff team.

You will support and mentor our existing staff team to identify new and innovative ways to support the young people and care for them enabling them to live their lives to their fullest potential by feeling valued and secure. The role will also involve the daily management of rotas, training co-ordination and staff supervision.

To apply for this position you will have at least an NVQ level 3 in Caring for Children & Young People, ideally a level 4 in management or Dip SW or Level 5 Children's Workforce Diploma (can be registered and working towards) and a proven track record in Care Management within a Supervisory/Management capacity and have an excellent working knowledge of social care and Ofsted legislation.

An enhanced DBS, registration to the update service and references will be required for the post. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, IT skills, and a mature, calm approach to the working environment.

All shifts available working on a rota based system, which include sleepovers, days, evenings and weekends. Flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends is essential. A full driving licence, valid in the U.K. and access to a vehicle is essential. Due to legislation minimum age requirements for staff is 22 years and above
