We're looking for an ambitious Assessor who is keen to drive their career forward within a high quality and customer centric Training Provider! With occupational competencies in Customer Service, Business Administration, Retail and Management and an Assessor qualification under your belt, you're all set to deliver training and assessment on a range of vocational qualifications and Apprenticeship Standards. In the same capacity, you would take responsibility for the delivery of Functional Skills alongside vocational units, so you won't be fazed when it comes to organising and prioritising your workload. Up for it? Ideally you'll be located in or around North Yorkshire / Tyneside as these are the areas covered by this role. Assessor: The essentials.

* Will require competencies in Customer Service, Business Administration, Retail, Management
* Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1,TAQA, CAVA, ACWE, AVRA, IQAA, A2)
* IT Skills - Word and Excel
* Ability to develop an individual's understanding of a subject/topic
* Ability to motivate individuals
* Provide feedback in a constructive manner
* Manage time and prioritise workload
* Ability to work with people of all types and level
* Full UK driving licence and use of own car
* Able to work varied shift patterns and occasional weekends
* Demonstrate enthusiasm and a positive 'can do' attitude

Assessor: Your experience.

* Supervisory/Managerial experience within the last 2 years in the occupational area being recruited for
* Performing to and achieving targets

Assessor: The desirables.

* Level 3 or above qualification in primary occupational area
* Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)
* GCSE at grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
* Experience of delivering training within the workplace
* Experience of delivering NVQ's and Apprenticeship frameworks
* Experience of delivering literacy and numeracy support to individuals
* Clear experience in identifying training needs and agreeing plans to deliver the training identified

Assessor: The role.

* To deliver training and assessment on a range of vocational qualifications and Apprenticeship Standards in line with your occupational competency
* To deliver training and assessment on Functional Skills needs in line with learners individual learning requirements
* To work with employers in ensuring identified workforce development needs are addressed in line with Service Level Agreements
* Support learners in achieving their learning and assessment goals
* Ensure learners are registered with the correct awarding body through the completion of relevant paperwork
* To support, motivate and encourage learners to maximise their potential and achieve their learning objectives
* GBP22,000 - GBP24,000 per annum
