Job Title: Chef Assessor - Front AND Back of House
Trainee OR Qualified Assessor opportunity

**Our client is flexible and can accept applications from Un-qualified / or Qualified Assessors who hold solid occupational competency in Hospitality (Front AND Back of House) as follows;
- Back of House / Chef / Kitchen / Professional Cookery
- Front of House / Bar / Restaurant / Reception / Housekeeping **

Locations: Bedfordshire - Must be flexible with travel

Salary: GBP21,200 (increases after successful probation)

*Trainee Assessor* To Apply, Trainee applicants must meet the essential skills below;
(Full training and support will be given to Trainee candidates to achieve the Assessors award)

- Ideally hold own level 3 in Professional Cookery / Hospitality.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience within Pro Cook - complex dishes and creation of food / sauces from scratch
- Hold solid occupational experience within Hospitality - Front AND Back of House (as above).
- Ideally have previous experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues within a Hospitality environment.
- Confident to deliver Maths and English Functional Skills to learners.

Duties:

- Deliver full Apprenticeship frameworks in; Professional Cookery levels 2/3, Food Production, Hospitality Services levels 2/3 and Hospitality Supervision and Leadership level 3.
- Assessors are expected to take an active role in the recruitment and growth of their own caseload of learners - training and support will be provided
- Deliver training and support in Functional Skills (Maths / English / ICT) to level 2
- Managing a caseload of learners, the successful candidate will plan and coordinate their own diary to ensure learners are being visited in a timely fashion.
- Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualifications.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet specific needs.
- Meet Assessor KPI`s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

Essential Criteria:

- Must hold occupational competency within Back of House at Supervisory or Management level, managing and supporting a team within a Kitchen environment. (Catering Managers can be considered as long as the candidate has Ideally worked as a Chef)
- Ideally hold own level 3 in Professional Cookery / Hospitality - but not essential
- Must be able to demonstrate experience within Pro Cook - complex dishes and creation of food / sauces from scratch.
- Hospitality (Front of House) experience would also be a bonus but not essential
- Confident with Maths, English and ICT - (grades C or above - or Key/Functional Skills at level 2).
- Assessors are expected to take an active role in the recruitment and growth of their own caseload of learners - training and support will be provided.
- Organisational skills are a must.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
- Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learner.
- Hold a Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel.
