Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of home care and support delivering high quality care. They have over 180 branches nationwide, provide care for over 40,000 older and disabled people with 17,000 well trained and dedicated staff.
They are currently looking to recruit an Extra Care Scheme Manager to join them covering The Orangery in Bexhill and Marlborough House in St Leonards to efficiently manage the provision of care within the unit in line with Key Performance Indicators, regulatory and legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.
In the role, you will:
• Manage the quality and continuity of care co-ordination within the unit
• Review and evaluate care delivery to ensure an effective service is maintained at all times
• Co-ordinate and manage the unit on call rota (Participate as required in the on-call rota including alert monitoring where an electronic monitoring system is in use and alerts are assigned
• Ensure that the delivery of care is designed around the needs of the customer and is culturally appropriate. Ensuring that each customer has an assessment of care, risk assessment and an individual Care Plan
• Monitor and manage the compliance and performance of staff
• Manage conduct, absence, grievance, capability issues in accordance with Company policy and procedures.
• Assist and participate in the formulation of Action Plans following internal/external inspection or audit
• 1 in 4 on call
To be successful you will:
• Have proven experience within a similar role
• Hold a Level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline (or be working towards)
• Be an excellent leader and hold in-depth knowledge of Care Standards, regulations and relevant legislation and will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• IT Skills with competency in Microsoft Office
• Be a good team player, with the ability to work independently.
• Hold a full UK Driving licence
