Application Monitoring Data Consultant | Radbroke, UK

Overall purpose of role:

• The Application Monitoring Data Consultant will perform an important role in Business Technology Service Operations (BTSO) to mine data from Aternity, an End User Performance Monitoring tool, for use by Sourcing to get details on deployments vs utilisation so that they can drive better deals with the vendors
• To maintain a broad, end-to-end technical understanding of one or more components within an application / service, being recognised as the 'go to' person for adhoc queries and reporting

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

• Liaise with key stakeholders from Sourcing and application teams to determine their requirements and produce tailored reports.
• The role holder will need to work with end users in troubleshooting issues with performance reports and dashboards
• The role holder must contribute to knowledge shares across the teams
• The delivery of documentation/reports / stakeholder packs to agreed standards, on time and error free
• Promote a positive and engaged environment that embraces change and supports continuous improvement

• Highly effective communicator. Responsible for interacting and presenting to staff at all level across the Business and IT functions.
• The ability to grasp data, product and business concepts quickly is critical
• Proven liaison and relationship management skills in dealing with clients and customers at all levels including difficult and demanding stakeholders.
• Understanding customer needs and priorities and uses extensive technical and business knowledge to provide useful reports to business areas during degradation of service
• Explaining, advocating and expressing facts and ideas in a variety of settings, both orally and in writing
• Can debate where appropriate to peers, senior line management and senior heads of business
• Creates and owns a logical plan, realistic estimates and schedule for any activity
• The ability to provide observations, comment and insight. Wider-thinking and problem solving - identifying and delivering reporting through own initiative.

• ITIL Foundation minimum
• Experience in and Monitoring and Alerting environment
• Production of high quality documentation
• Strong stakeholder management
• Strong analytical skills
