18 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT - SITE NEW BUILD

Based in Edinburgh, Edgar Stewart's client is a well-established bio-manufacturing organisation, with an internationally recognised product portfolio. The product range includes in vitro diagnostics and medical devices for use in clinical laboratories throughout the world. The organisation also offers contract services to the bioscience industry and currently manufactures products for major global players in the Life Sciences sectors.

Reporting into the Quality Engineer Supervisor, the Quality Engineer will play a crucial role supporting Quality investigations on site. We are looking for someone with excellent Quality and GMP experience within a scientific background who is looking for an opportunity to take on an exciting, challenging role.

The successful candidate will:

Organise and co-ordinate the day to day workload for complaints investigation
Analyse data from complaints investigations to produce technical reports.
Trend quality data from key data sources (e.g. complaints, deviations, CA & PA's)
Proactively initiate projects based on identified trends.
Take a lead in root cause analysis for quality investigations.
Liaise with customers and internal colleagues to obtain information during investigation procedures.
Participate and support in internal and external audits.
Drive a quality improvement culture through open communication and close relationships with other departments.
Participate and support in Quotient supplier management program, with potential for leading or supporting off site supplier audits. Educated to Degree calibre in a scientific or engineering discipline, you are a proven life sciences, biotechnology, medical devices or pharmaceutical quality engineer. Ideally the successful candidate will be Lead Auditor trained to ISO13485.
