My client creates and organises original and exciting consumer events, bringing groups of individuals together to share their interests face to face in a thrilling events environment. Due to their continued growth and the success of their events, an opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Advertising Sales Executive to join their highly successful team!

Purpose of the role
The main purpose of this role is to achieve and 'smash` the targets set for the sales revenue across the events you`re working on. The Advertising Sales Executive will achieve this by having a clear understanding of their market, adapting a unique style of selling for each market sector, inputting into the sales plan and delivering to schedule. For this role, you will be required to take advantage of your industry knowledge to sell to prospects through face to face or telesales activities.

Advertising Sales Executive Skills Required:

- A minimum of 1 years' experience in selling Events and/or Exhibitions
- Basic negotiation
- Excellent organisational skills, Accuracy, Attention to detail
- Time management, including being able to prioritise workload
- First-rate Telephone manner as well as Customer Service skills
- Proficient user of Word, Access, Excel, Outlook
- Team player
- Capacity to develop and learn new skills

Advertising Sales Executive Responsibilities:

- Conduct face to face sales meetings with Sales Manager
- To have some input and ideas into the content and creative of the show
- Work with Sales Manager to design Sales Plan
- To make a pre-agreed volume of telesales calls per day, selling stand space to targets set by Sales Manager
- Understand and maintain Filemaker database system including logging all calls made
- Sell to database provided converting prospects into contracts
- Identify new exhibitors via research web, magazines, shows etc
- Production of all contracts
- Keep floorplans up to date with help of Sales Manager
- Secure re-books on site at shows
- Effectively develop and manage customer relationships
