Our client, a multinational support service and construction company based in Birmingham, is currently hiring for a Group Apprenticeship Manager to to help drive an increase in apprenticeship recruitment and programme development across the Group. This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities

* Work with Divisional HR and Early Careers stakeholders to identify opportunities for programme development.
* Manage the introduction of new apprentice programmes, frameworks and national developments in Apprenticeship schemes.
* Initiate the creation of partnerships with education providers to support apprenticeship programmes.
* Manage the procurement of subcontracted training provision, in line with best practice to meet training needs.
* Manage subcontractors effectively by implementing SLAs, KPIs and quality review process.
* Continually monitor the quality of apprenticeship programmes and provide accurate and regular reporting on recruitment and performance.
* Research and provide updates to Divisional Early Careers team on external government policy changes in relation to apprenticeships and skills.
* Act as an internal point of contact for government consultations by co-ordinating and collating responses across the Group.
* Drive consistency of approach to recruitment, selection and remuneration of apprentices.
* Provide external benchmarking on remuneration providing information to Divisional leads.
* Lead on the co-ordination, marketing and communication of key events such as National Apprenticeship week, Scottish Apprenticeship week, National Apprenticeship Awards.
* Collaborate with marketing on the ongoing development and update of apprenticeship/early career collateral, internal web pages and corporate website.
* Represent the Group at external events related to apprenticeships.
* Work closely with Group Work Placement Manager to support work placement activity, making links to apprenticeship recruitment and monitoring the success of this route into the business.

Requirements

* Experience of work based Apprenticeship programmes within a technical environment.
* Experience of working in Construction and Support Services
* Experience of working with the Skills Funding Agency and an understanding of the regulatory framework and constraints such as eligibility requirements
* Experience of working with young people

This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, working Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm.
