Accounts Manager (ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience)

Location: Weybridge, Surrey.

Our clientis a progressive firm providing wide ranging business solutions for small and medium sized businesses. As a medium sized accountancy firm, they provide a wide range of services including audit and accounts, tax compliance, tax planning, payroll, financial planning, HR and company secretarial.

The role:

As an Accounts Manager, you will support the Partner with compliance work with the opportunity to get involved in advisory work as you gain experience and qualifications.

You will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of clients and duties will include:

Review of statutory year-end accounts.
Able to take full management responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Preparation and review of Corporate Tax computations.
Liaising with and providing general technical advice to clients.
Being able to work as part of a team and managing/training junior members of staff.
Billing, WIP management and other adhoc responsibilities as and when required.
Providing support to our accounts controller administrator in peak periods.
Payroll knowledge would be desirable would not essential.
Experience required/Person specification:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must:

Have practice experience within a small to medium sized accountancy practice.
Have a genuine interest in accounting and business.
Be qualified or be able to demonstrate a proven track record in practice.
Be someone with a logical and numerate mind.
Be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to balance your workload effectively.
Communicate well and be motivated to take on challenges as well as problem solving.
Have the drive to progress your career and a willingness to take on challenging work.
A working knowledge of sage, QuickBooks and/or Xero would be advantageous.
Have a good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
