My client is a distributor of products to manufacturing companies within the Defence and Medical sectors. Their HQ is based in Stevenage, however, they do have offices around the world. Their US office is based in Virginia.

Job Description
Responsible for all aspects of accounts payable relating to our subsidiary based in Virginia USA. This
role requires someone that can effectively liaise with remote employees and suppliers on a day to
day basis, can work under pressure, prioritise workloads, is thorough and has an eye for detail.
This is a very 'hands-on' role and requires someone with a positive attitude, an enthusiastic
approach, flexible working style, ability to work on their own but also as part of a busy team and
have good communication skills.

Main Duties:
• Responsible for USA Accounts Payable email inbox and printing invoices/credit notes
• Processing supplier invoices against goods received
• Obtaining approval and processing of office expense invoices
• Processing pro-forma invoices for payment
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Creating payment runs (Wire and ACH) within core system and export/import into
bank payment portals
• Updating supplier banking information
• Liaising with suppliers and resolving queries by email and telephone
• Liaising with other divisions within the USA office to resolve invoice queries
• Review 'pro-forma/on account' payments to ensure goods have been received or
request refund if necessary
• Review end of month bank statement and process direct debits and cheques raised
• Filing of all purchase ledger documents
• Any other duties as requested

Personal Specification:
This position would ideally suit someone who:
• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience within a similar role and looking for more responsibility
• Is looking to work as part of a busy team
• Is able to liaise with other members of staff in a team and co-workers throughout
the company
• Has a sense of humour, is able to deal with office banter but also understands the
need to 'get the job done'

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm
