Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 per annum

About the role:

They move at a fast pace and are constantly evolving with new technology demands. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant that can keep up with the business demands and can multitask successfully to ensure they function seamlessly.

You will be a starter finisher, be able to work as part of a team and have a good attention to detail. A positive can do approach is as important as the ability to work in a busy environment. You must be able to work under pressure and be highly organised with previous Accounts Assistant roles.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as being aware of a time critical service a good level of numeracy and computer skills are essential for this role.

- Set up new client accounts and maintain existing account details within the sales ledger.
- Issue client invoicing promptly and accurately and ensure clients pay in a timely manner, chasing overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescales.
- Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness.
- Provide accurate advice to clients on billing queries; issuing credit notes when approved.
- Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries.
- Close liaison with sales team so that credit issues are resolved smoothly.
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger.
- Process purchase orders, supplier invoices and business expense returns.
- Processing BACS payments.
- Cashbook management, bank reconciliations and credit card processing and reconciliations.
- Fixed asset register update and depreciation journal and accruals and prepayment journals and maintain schedules.
- Monthly cashflow forecasting.
- Undertake supplier and client account reconciliations; send out monthly client and supplier statements.
- Expenses reporting to the business.

About you:

- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Ideally have previous exposure of working within a finance team.
- Possess excellent organisation and administration skills along with MS office (especially Excel) and databases.
- Understands basic accounting principles.
- A great eye for detail.
- Calm under pressure.
