Are you inspiring, innovative and person centred? We are seeking a Head Teacher to provide professional leadership for our North Wales based school which secures its success and improvement, ensuring high quality education for all our pupils and good standards of learning and achievement.

Our school is registered for up to 25 Young Males, all between the ages of 11-18 years, who reside within our Branas Isaf services, with the school operating within a therapeutic model. We are registered to provide education for pupils with SEMH / SEBD and ALN. All Young People will work towards end-KS4 accreditation appropriate to needs and ability. As Head Teacher, you will be expected to:

* Provide strategic direction and development of the school - this includes working in partnership with the company, staff, stakeholders and parents generating the ethos and values which will underpin the school.
* Continue to implement a Development Plan which will secure continuous school improvement, in tandem with a robust self-evaluation process across the school, including the formulation of an effective self-evaluation document.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of the school and respond and report to the company as required, ensure the management, finances, organisation and administration of the school supports its vision and aims.
* Ensure that school policies and practices take account of national, local and school requirements
* Continue to maintain an environment that promotes and secures good, inclusive teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement and good behaviour, all of which are appropriate to the individual needs of pupils
* Ensure that pupils develop study skills in order to learn more effectively and with increasing independence
* Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning and standards of achievement of all pupils in the school through appropriate methods.
* Implement and sustain effective systems for the management of staff performance, incorporating performance management and target setting.
* Ensure that professional duties are fulfilled, as specified in the Terms and Conditions of Service of teachers, including those of headteacher
* Participate in the arrangements made in accordance with the regulations for performance management, and to participate in the identification of areas in which the Headteacher would benefit from further training and undergoing such training
* Work with the company and colleagues to recruit and retain staff of the highest quality.
* Set appropriate priorities for expenditure, allocation of funds and effective administration and control.
* Work with colleagues to deploy and develop all staff effectively in order to maintain and improve the quality of education provided.
* Manage, monitor and review the range, quality and use of all available resources in order to improve the quality of education, improve pupils' achievements, ensure efficiency and secure value for money
* Ensure that parents/carers, stakeholders and pupils are well informed about the curriculum, attainment and progress and about the contribution they can make in supporting their child's learning and achieving the school's targets for improvement

We are seeking someone who possesses the following:

* A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with good honours degree or equivalent
* Senior Leadership, Headteacher, Acting-Head experience
* A Higher degree or equivalent would be desirable
* Evidence of recent and relevant training and development relevant to role
* Successful coordination/leadership at a senior level
* Proven track record in managing staff to support successful outcomes for a wide ability range of students
* In depth knowledge and understanding of the wider educational agenda including current national strategies and educational issues
* Evidence of successfully developing teams of professionals, delegating effectively and managing change
* The ability to inspire, challenge, motivate, empower others to carry forward a shared vision for school improvement
* Passionate about learning and seeks to create an inspirational and creative learning environment
* To be a role model of best practice, with a professional demeanour that engenders confidence, integrity, trust and respect in others
* Has the enthusiasm, initiative and commitment to ensure good practice is embedded throughout the school
