A school in Oldham is currently looking for a talented teacher to take on a Yr4 class from September 2017. This class currently has 30 children who are all predominantly higher ability. There is 1 permanent TA and an SEN TA who works on a 1-1 basis with a child in the classroom.

The school ideally want someone who is experienced in KS2, however they will consider NQTs. Teaching ability is of the upmost importance as is the ability to commit to the role. Enthusiasm and a desire to succeed are also high on the list of characteristics. However, a teacher willing to challenge and inspire the children is fundamental. The children are quickly distracted and as such need to be engaged in a wide and varied curriculum to keep them on task. The school is 'Good' and the management team are very supportive. The candidate would have to commit to the role as the school are really concerned about the continuity in the classroom. Strong behaviour management skills are important but it is worth noting that this class have had no prior problems to this year.
