Homelessness Trailblazer Case Co-ordinator

Are you interested in becoming part of a new front line, multidisciplinary team providing early holistic support and preventative action? Luton Borough Council has secured funding as part of the DCLG Trailblazer initiative, a multi-million pound programme providing a new approach to tackling homelessness, with prevention at its heart.
Your work will improve the stability and financial independence of individuals and families in the key areas of housing, employment, education and health & wellbeing.
To assist individuals and families on your case-load you will need to be proactive. Ensuring that they get the access to housing advice and support, employment, training, debt and budgeting advice required for successful outcomes. A key element of this will be promoting self-sufficiency and future stability, with a view to reducing the risk to of becoming homeless.

The salary scale is between GBP24,964 to GBP30,153 as it encompasses roles at both our L6 and L7 grades. Applicants will usually start at the bottom of this scale although we will consider starting applicants who demonstrate sufficient competency and skills up to a salary point of GBP27,668. Candidates who are commenced at the lower end of the scale will however also have the opportunity to progress to the higher graded roles as part of our internal progression scheme.
