Job Overview:
As an Application Support Analyst you will be responsible for delivering 2nd line solutions to technical faults and user enquiries across a broad range of back end business solutions. You will provide Application support in order to ensure the maximum availability of services to the business with minimal disruption to business continuity. This support will be delivered by phone, face-to-face and via remote connection capabilities.

You will need to approach problems enthusiastically and creatively, but also need to know when to escalate issues. You will approach your area of responsibility from both a technical, client and user viewpoint; working in line with the standards and IT governance working practices established within Williams Lea IT group. You will also be expected to cover for first line support team during peak periods and resource shortages. From time to time, you will contribute to project deliverables within the function and develop your own experience and technical understanding in doing so.

It will be expected of you to provide immediate response to allocated incidents, owning corrective and preventative actions in line with agreed Williams Lea incident management processes. Your responsibilities will need to be delivered in a diplomatic manner that displays an appropriate sense of urgency and sensitivity in the environment you work in and the pressures within it.

This is permanent position based in Shepshed, Leicestershire Monday - Friday working 7.5 hours between 7:00am - 7:00pm. There will be a need for flexibility as you may be required to work out of hours or provide on-call cover as and when necessary. Required Experience:
We are looking for a technically minded Support Analyst with who can apply their technical abilities to learn new bespoke applications, systems and tools. You will have advanced IT/technical awareness, incident management, problem management, troubleshooting expertise ideally on data related issues along with Windows & SQL fault-finding skills. You will be experienced in providing support on operating system issues and software applications, carrying out incident investigations and route cause analysis through to resolution.

Experience of working with automation, document management, data management processing tools (Flex, VIP, VDE, PI Output Manager, Kofax, Kofax Transformation Modules, Sterling Integrator and Gentran Integration Suite) or equivalent would be highly desirable.
