Our client is a highly entrepreneurial, GBP1bn turnover plc, market leading business involved in the installation, maintenance and management of major utility networks. Working throughout the UK on behalf of UK and international blue-chip clients, they have grown both organically and through acquisition to double the size of their business over recent years.

Contract turnover values typically range between GBP30-100m and are often tied into partnership framework agreements that can run for up to 10 years. The potential wins are therefore highly significant, hence the importance to capitalise on these opportunities, to maintaining their high standards of service delivery and potentially seek to expand their scope of works within these frameworks. All of which must be achieved to the highest standards of Health & Safety and against challenging commercial targets.

They are now seeking to appoint an experienced senior framework manager to lead a significant works programme with a long-established client with an expanding scope of works. They are prepared to consider both candidates already operating at this level and those seeking career progression, provided they satisfy the following criteria:
  • be proven in leading frameworks with a minimum turnover of GBP15m within the utility sector; gas, water, electric or telecoms
  • from a contractors operational background, proven in delivering against challenging performance matrix and target cost contracts
  • possess the gravitas and leadership skills that will enable you to inspire the team and win confidence of the client at executive level
  • have a strong commercial acumen and ability to identify value, challenge costs and continually strive for greater commercial efficiencies
  • demonstrate broad general management skills, capable of fulfilling a succession plan to the contracts director, with the willingness and ability to 'get into the detail' when required
  • be passionate about delivering the highest standards of health and safety
