A well respected IFA based in Colchester are seeking a Senior IFA Administrator/Paraplanner to come on board and support the Managing Director. In return you will receive a very competitive package as well as full study support to complete any relevant qualifications.

Job Title: Senior IFA Administrator/Paraplanner
Reporting to: Managing Director

Purpose of job: To provide direct one to one support to the Managing Director and Financial advisers as required and to liaise effectively with all existing and prospective clients

Key responsibilities / Principal tasks
• Provides technical and administrative support to the Adviser team. Including pre-sale preparation of client meetings, including product research Illustrations, Product Brochures, etc.
• Assists the Managing Director with marketing / promotional initiatives.
• Manages the review meeting process including preparation of valuations and portfolio reports.
• Processes and produces Adviser Agreed Remuneration Fee Invoices and assist the accounts department with the reconciliation of client fees.
• Maintains a current level of technical knowledge, principally through self-study; supported by 'In house' training and where the company deems it appropriate, attendance at external training events.
• Continually strives to improve professional knowledge and Financial services qualifications by taking specific agreed CII (PFS) exams. (The company will fund study text material and entry for exams where agreed).
• Composes 'Suitability' reports for clients in conjunction with advisers.

Secondary Tasks:
• Takes responsibility for, and maintains, in-house client data bases (Intelliflo, Virtual Cabinet, Excel spreadsheets) and scanning of paper documents.
• Undertakes administration associated with new business, fund switches, CGT calculations, liaison with product providers

Other duties:
• Answers the phone and deals with or distributes calls accordingly.
• Attends to the reception area and client meeting rooms when necessary, keeping them tidy and professionally presentable at all times.
• Meets and greets individuals to the firm's premises when necessary (including making teas & coffees and providing the refreshments).
• Organises and executes the Company Mailings.
• Keeps in-house Company literature up to date and well stocked.
• Administers and maintains office stationery and housekeeping supplies to an acceptable level
