Salary GBP45,000 - GBP60,000 + benefits

Our client supplies potable water to 685,000 people in the London Boroughs of Sutton, Merton, and Croydon, as well as across East Surrey and parts of Kent. They are a forward thinking, innovative company that is highly regarded for their efficiency and customer service.
They now have an opportunity for a Energy and Carbon Manager to join their team in Redhill. Based with the Production Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company buys; generates and consumes its energy in the most efficient way. You will also be responsible for compliance with a number of energy and carbon related legislations.

This will mean you will advise the board on cost effectiveness in the procurement of energy, influencing them on strategic issues relating to energy and renewable. Further responsibilities are to guide the company with regard to legislative requirements surrounding energy and develop / implement the business strategy and business plans to generate improvement. With your excellent communication skills you will develop strategic partnerships and work with regulatory / external bodies to interpret the industry.

Their Ideal candidate will hold an Engineering degree (or equivalent) with experience of working in an Energy Consultant (or other relevant) role. Ideally you will be a member of a professional institute (EI / IMechE / CIBSE).

They are looking for someone who has a wide cross section of experience in the energy field although they accept that some candidates will be stronger in some areas than others. They are looking for experience in electricity procurement, electricity generation (both renewables and fossil fuels), energy auditing, management of the delivery of energy reduction and generation schemes, and compliance with energy and carbon related legislation.
