Tutor Co-ordinator - Teacher Education
Salary: GBP36,110 - GBP38,300 per annum
Working 36 hours per week
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our Teacher Education programme, which has social purpose at its core. Based at the college you will work closely with Huddersfield University and you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the college HE strategy. You will plan and deliver modules on our PGCE, Cert Ed and BA qualifications as well as leading on quality assurance for the programme area. You will be committed to supporting learners to achieve their full potential and this will be central to your approach. With line management responsibility for the Teacher Education team, you will support your team to deliver excellence across the programme as well as offering CPD opportunities for the wider academic staff group.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent; have a PGCE or equivalent qualification and have completed or be working towards a Masters qualification in a relevant subject area. You will have experience of managing staff; proven experience of teaching, learning and assessment in teacher education at level 3 and above; and an ability to maintain professional boundaries. You will also have a flexible approach to work to enable you to meet the needs of the college and our learners.
