Take the Step into Management - Statutory Fostering
Take the Step Into Management within a Stable and Supportive Team
A London based Local Authority is looking to take on an experienced Senior Practitioner in the capacity of an Assistant Team Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to make the transition to management as you will be doing this within a well established and stable team where staff are able to work autonomously and don't need to be micro managed, effectively making your transition up to ATM much smoother.
The Fostering service is very stable with all the staff being employed on a permanent basis, furthermore the majority of staff have been in the team for a number of years. As the ATM you will be providing operational support to the Team Manager who is also a long standing member of the team.
The Local Authority is a part of a 2nd cohort of Local Authorities which have received funding to implement the Mockingbird Project which aims to bring in a new approach to recruiting and supporting Foster and Kinship carers. So far the results have been really positive and you will have the opportunity to get involved with the project and use your experience to help delivery and shape the future of the service.
To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience within Fostering and should have supervised Social Workers.
