Programme Development Manager
We are seeking a forward thinking and innovative leader with strong and proven programme management ability to head up and drive our transformation agenda.
The Lake District National Park Authority is currently pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda to enable us to build on our success and become even more efficient, commercial and innovative. We want you to play a pivotal role within our team, shaping and delivering a range of exciting and challenging initiatives that will change the way we operate for years to come.
As an Authority we are continually seeking to further invest in our National Park through maintaining a proactive approach to managing our finances and finding ways to improve the things we do and the services we provide. To support that work we need to embed robust programme and project management disciplines as we seek to deploy ever more complex and challenging change. The Programme Development Manager will lead a team of project managers in this work and actively manage a range of current and future business initiatives, including the redevelopment of our Brockhole and Coniston centres and the delivery of our Investing for our Future programme.
This work will require a passionate, committed and motivated individual with a strong and proven programme management background. Excellent leadership and change management skills, astute contract and supplier management skills and the ability to inspire, manage and deliver through a matrix structure will be key attributes.
You will be a talented individual who is looking for a significant and exciting challenge, possessing both formal project management qualifications and a track record of effective deployment of these on major business transformations.
You will be a proven senior leader with a flexible, 'can do' attitude and the enthusiasm to create a modern and effective approach. You will be a strong change agent, resilient, innovative and have a proven track record of delivery within a challenging environment. You will thrive on supporting your team to further enhance their skills and approaches across the organisation. Please see the job description for further detail on the role.
If you have what it takes to play a key role in the agenda to transform our Authority forever then we want you. The Lake District is a fantastic place to work, soon hopefully to be inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We value and look to retain talent. Come and join us!
