A Senior Manager for Data Privacy and Security Incident Management in Swindon or Northampton (travel required). Salary range of GBP53,162 - GBP79,744 - based on skills and experience Benefits include status car or cash allowance, a competitive pension where if you pay in 7% we'll top it up to 23%, 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, life assurance worth 8x your salary and access to an annual performance related bonus. This role can be located in Swindon or Northampton where most of our core functions are based but will require regular days in Swindon. Who we're looking for
We're looking for an energetic and experienced Privacy and Information Security professional with a proven track record of delivering new capability alongside uplifting existing capability. You'll be used to working in a fast-paced environment where you are responsible for maintaining high standards of advice, and operational delivery alongside landing transformational change. In this stretching role, you will have excellent stakeholder and team leadership capabilities in order to maximize your effectiveness.You'll have an up to date understanding of the security challenges facing large commercial organisations with a clear focus on all UK centric data privacy matters and its changing landscape under GDPR. You will also be experienced in leading and / or supporting security incident management including liaising with the ICO.
You'll have experience of leading data protection compliance and advice activity and responding to Security incidents in a large complex organisation, and can demonstrate a wide range of scenarios in which you have effectively maintained the highest possible security standards in these roles.
As a minimum requirement you'll have:
Significant experience of Information Security and Data privacy, Ideally formally qualified (DP ISEB), or equivalent experience. Detailed knowledge of Security Incident Management, and Data Privacy including the Data Protection Act and EU General Data Protection Legislation. Previous experience in managing these complex and sensitive activities. Excellent stakeholder and communication skills (verbal and written) working upto Director Level Be a resilient and highly motivated self-starter who relishes a challenge. Experience of managing and developing teams

Experience of an equivalent role at a large financial services provider. Experience of developing and nurturing talent to a high standard
What you'll be doing
First and foremost you will be ensuring Nationwide has the right controls and advice to protect the privacy interests of its current and future members.
You'll be working for Nationwide's Head of Security Advice, leading the two teams that deliver Nationwide's Security Incident Management (team of four) and Data Privacy Advice (team of eight) in a newly created role. You'll be responsible for developing the team's future vision and strategy as we move into EU GDPR.
