The company

You will be working for a is a small but growing company in an exciting market sector. The business sells specialised products to commercial and institutional customers across the South East.

The job

This is a vital role with responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the company through careful management of finance and general office administration areas. Your key responsibilities include carrying out bookkeeping and financial administration, managing sales, purchase ledgers and overhead expenses, completing payroll including employee expenses, HMRC and VAT returns, cash flow forecasting, Stock accounting and production cost management, preparing and marinating budgets etc. You will also be responsible for the smooth running of the busy company office including being the first point of contact for calls and queries, organising logistics of deliveries, maintaining company documentation and also company secretarial duties to include completion of statutory returns to Companies House etc.

The role offers the opportunity to develop into more areas including operations and sales and marketing activities.

Your experience

You will have solid experience of working in a bookkeeping or financial administration role together with office management/administration experience. You will possess good working knowledge of Sage Line 50 software including payroll functions plus other IT systems including word processing, spreadsheets and databases. You will be highly organised, have fantastic attention to detail together with excellent communication skills. This role needs someone who can multitask effectively, can prioritise their workload and thrive in a fast paced environment.
