My client designs & manufactures safety critical products and systems, supplied to a wide variety of 'Hazardous Area industries' on a global scale. Due to growth, they are now seeking an experienced Product Line Manager to support a specific product area of key importance to the business moving forward.

The role is of pivotal importance globally to this business area. Responsible for strategic & tactical management of product lines you will specifically influence; sales growth, margin and life-cycle, working closely with; sales, marketing, & engineering internally as well as customers, suppliers and partners externally.

Some of your core duties include;

* Ensuring Sales and Marketing teams support your product line
* Identifying & delivering New Product Development (NPD) opportunities
* Set commercial strategy alongside the Global Product Line Manager & Sales Director
* Set the product positioning in the market alongside the global marketing team
* Train and educate customers, market influencers and channel partners
* Field product-specific technical enquiries in support of other teams
* Research and identify acquisition targets for new business growth

As the ideal candidate, you will be a graduate from a technical discipline, and will have several years' experience of managing product lines, working with engineered products / systems, where design and manufacture have been integral to your role.
