One Digital is a unique partnership intent on creating a scalable movement to improve the basic digital skills and digital inclusion of 12 million people in the UK who are digitally excluded.

Age UK, Citizens Online, Clarion Housing Group, Digital Unite and the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) have worked together over the past 18 months to deploy a variety of Digital Champion models to improve social inclusion by supporting people to gain basic digital skills.

We are now ready to embark on the next exciting phase of the programme and want to appoint a Delivery Coordinator who will provide the energy and leadership to ensure the delivery of our One Digital Project providing an exemplar which can help to accelerate the way in which basic digital skills and social inclusion are delivered by our partner organisations. The One Digital Programme will create over 6000 new digital champions and leaders through over 2000 voluntary and community sector organisations to 40,000 people across the UK.

As a key member of our team you will work closely with the Digital Inclusion Manager to help implement the Digital Inclusion Strategy, specifically to deliver and promote our Group's One Digital Project and to embed digital inclusion into an Employment and Training programme.

We'll be looking to you to identify and share good practice and learning whilst delivering a national/regional outreach programme which raises the profile of both the One Digital Project and the wider Digital Inclusion programme.

We'll need you to build and maintain relationships with colleagues across Community Investment, the Group and a range of local and national stakeholders in order to develop and progress One Digital as well as recruit, develop and manage a number of volunteer and paid Digital Champions.

You'll already have experience and expertise of Digital Inclusion gained from working in a similar role in addition to delivering high quality operational services on a large geographic basis to hard to reach groups. You'll role model partnership working skills, displaying personal integrity and credibility and have a proven ability and desire to collaborate with both internal and external colleagues and partners.

Your excellent communication skills and strong organisational skills will be critical in ensuring that high quality programmes are in place.

Your duties will include:

  • Recruiting, inducting and managing paid Digital Champions on both a sessional and part-time basis as required
  • Working with Clarions Employment and Training programme to explore ways of readily identifying gaps in their clients digital skills and to facilitate appropriate support and training to help overcome these skills gaps
  • Working with our contractor's Digital Champion Co-ordinator and mentors to develop, maintain and grow the digital champion network
  • Sharing Digital Inclusion best practice through the One Digital Network and developing relationships with other housing associations and potential partners as required.
  • Applicants must be able to regularly travel as required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your extensive skills and experience to really make a difference for people's lives.
