Senior Social Worker - MASH

Hours per Week: 35

Compensation: GBP39,147 - GBP41,025 (PO4)

We are looking for experienced social workers for our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.

Our MASH brings together a range of statutory and non-statutory resources involved in safeguarding the welfare of children in the borough. We work together to provide the highest level of knowledge and analysis - ensuring that activity and intervention is timely, proportionate and necessary.

You will be responsible for delivering social work support to children and their families, managing complex family proceedings and children at risk. You'll formulate high quality care plans and ensure that health and education needs are met, working to the highest professional standard. You'll be a team player too - working with colleagues in a range of disciplines, sharing knowledge, and providing support and advice to deliver the best possible outcomes for local children and their families.

In return, we will give you the time and support you need to make a difference. Though we're not complacent, we believe that our training, development and support is among the best in London - and we have plenty more in store for 2017. We are driving down caseloads and investing heavily in better IT and mobile working technology to help staff spend more quality time doing what matters.

Screening Questions:

  1. What risk assessment skills you need to hold as a Senior Social Worker in MASH to ensure that children are safeguarded in line with B&D's Threshold of need?
  2. What is your understanding of threshold for a MASH enquiry?
